The death of David Carr, a unique journalist known for his media commentary in the pages of The New York Times, has generated many tributes from his peers. Among the many remarkable words he wrote, there’s one not to be missed: Carr’s course description for Press Play, a class he taught at Boston University.

A wearable social network
MIT has just introduced Social Textiles, a project that turns fashion into a social media network you can wear. Right now, Social Textiles is a t-shirt which, when worn, pairs with your smartphone to detect when other people who are in the same room share your interests.
